Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu is a specialist with 50 years of experience in ophthalmology. Born in Izmir, he worked as a faculty member at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology for many years. In 1976, he studied ultrasonography with Prof. Till at the University of Vienna Eye Clinic in Austria and in 1983, he received a British Council Fellowship to study vitreoretinal diseases at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. In 1984, he applied the first intraocular lens after cataract surgery in Izmir, marking a first in Turkey. <\/span><\/p>

Prof. Dr. Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu established Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu Eye Hospital in 2000 and continues to share all the knowledge and experience he gained in eye health with his patients here. The hospital has adopted the goal of being the best eye hospital with the best ophthalmologists. Having performed over 2,000 cataract and LASIK surgeries in 2004, Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu has made a name for himself in the global arena by making presentations at world-renowned scientific conferences. In 2002, Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu received the “Best of the Show” award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu has performed numerous successful surgeries and training programs not only in Turkey but also around the world. He has performed live cataract surgeries in different countries such as Greece, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Egypt, Ukraine, Slovenia and Portugal. In addition, he has been giving courses on advanced cataract surgery at the European Society of Cataract Refractive Surgery and American Society of Cataract Refractive Surgery Congresses for the last two years. <\/span><\/p>

Prof. Dr. Ka\u015fkalo\u011flu, Black Sea Ophthalmological Society (<\/span>www.bs-os.org<\/span><\/a>He is the founder and president of the Ophthalmology Society of Southeastern Europe (Ophthalmology Society of Southeastern Europe) and leads international studies on eye health. He is also one of the founders of the Southeast European Ophthalmology Society and serves as the Turkish delegate of this organization. In 2001, he won the “Best Paper” award at the ASCRS Congress in the USA and is fluent in English.<\/span><\/p>
